We are pleased to be able to support The Mix, a local community group which provides drop-ins for people who are looking to share information about mental health services.
The drop-ins are informal and accessible, and aim to promote self help. They offer a safe and inclusive setting, where visitors can share information about local mental health services, and/or socialise and make new friends in a relaxed and welcoming environment. The sessions also offer a range of activities including arts, crafts and games. For visitors who just fancy a chat over a cuppa, hot and cold drinks and other refreshments are provided.
The drop-in sessions are regularly attended by members of staff from a number of local groups, charities and other agencies, who are on hand to offer specialist help, support and advice, currently:
- Rethink
- Citizens Advice Milton Keynes
- Milton Keynes Council
- Healthwatch Milton Keynes
The drop-ins which we support run in the Water Eaton Church Centre, Bletchley, on Thursdays between 1.30 – 3.30pm. The Mix also runs drop-ins in the Unity Park Station, Central Milton Keynes, on Mondays between 1.30 – 3.30pm.
