FOOD HYGIENE
We prepare food for our service users, nearly always in the kitchen of the Water Eaton Church Centre. Whenever and wherever we prepare food:
We will comply with the terms, procedures and processes contained in the Milton Keynes Council Safer Food Better Business (SFBB) pack.
We will register for inclusion within the inspection and control requirements of the SFBB and abide by the reports issued following the regular inspections by Milton Keynes Council.
Under the SFBB umbrella we will strive always to provide safe and well prepared food at all of our activities. To do so we will:
a) provide adequate and appropriate training to volunteers to satisfy the requirements of the SfBB;
b) ensure we provide a safe environment for our food preparation volunteers, together with suitable protective apparel;
c) ensure that all equipment and tools for food preparation are safe and appropriate for the tasks in hand and comply with the requirements of the SFBB.
CrossLinks will encourage volunteers to go beyond the SFBB’s minimum training requirements, but will not press or coerce volunteers to do so.
In all ways possible we will endeavour to maintain a safe, hygienic and well run environment for the protection of our service users and volunteers.
